List mutators should return the resulting new list.

Since MDL has a #false that is distinct from empty/nil. I would return 
#false is the target node was missing.

If you want to get fancy, pass the "equals" predicate in, too.

(My two cents, but I only ever wrote a few utterly trivial MDL programs 
and that was in like 1981, so...)


Don't forget about the implications of hacking like this in the face of 
multi-processing btw.
